 Dr. G. S. Amur was Professor of English in Dr. Babasaheb
Ambedkar Marathwada University at Aurangabad and, after his retirement in 1985, 
has lived in Dharwad, his hometown. He is a distinguished critic in Kannada as well
as in English and has won many awards.

Shall I speak of the purity of self? Awareness makes it impure. The light within
