_Dreams_

I came to you in a dream
did you not hear me? I told you to drop everything to
cross continents to find me

I am waiting on one side of the river
you on the other I will shine this lamp of
waiting tell me I am welcome

can I bear to light it one more time
with the gnarled fingers of regret and longing
tell me I am beautiful… tell me I have loved

om nameh Tagore
