_**Teaser:**_
Let me, this indigo night, when the _ketaki_, the bird of the night,
still sings _bou koka kot, bou koka kot_, constantly, incessantly, from its high
perch across the lane, slice my forenoons and afternoons into Mondays and Tuesdays
that I have lost track of, but surely I must have passed through them, the shifting
prisms of this altering ground, that is as baffling as the blueness of the sky is
a hazy daze. And do I have to tell you, who have, by chance passed this way, that
this is not the reason I chose this midsummer night to touch the wind that blew
on a forgotten path. It came on its own accord as the light hung heavy over the
rim of the trees, and the soft grass melted by the side of the roads.
