_**About the Author**_
 Parneet Jaggi is a lecturer in English in Sri Ganganagar,
Rajasthan. Her first collection of poems, _Euphonies of Heart and Soul_, was published
by Cyberwit, Allahabad, in 2013. Her second collection, _Live Love Light_, was published
by **Writers Workshop**, India, in 2014. 25 of her poems were included in the anthology
of contemporary English poets, _Wordwine_, launched by Delhi Poetree in 2015. Her
third collection, _Show Me How Not to Grow_, was published by Cyberwit in 2017. 
Her poems have been published in several journals such as _The Enchanting Verses
International Journal, Contemporary Literary Review India, Harvests of New Millennium_
and _The Criterion_.

She has written two works of nonfiction, _Social and Economic Values in the Teachings
of Sikh Gurus_ (Delhi: ABC, 2014), authored jointly with Dr Vikram Singh Deol, which
discusses the teachings of the Sikh Gurus, and _Matthew Arnold and the Bhagavad 
Gita _(New Delhi: Authorspress, 2014), which examines the influence of Oriental 
thought, specifically the _Bhagavad Gita_, on Arnold’s poetry.

Dots of light

narrow lanes of the mind, Meeting on the main road – the heart, all coincide in 
the tiny cameo. The buoyant waters spurt out into fountains of silver spray moistening
the arid vessels devoid of blood. A journey from rotis to roses, roses to fragrances,
now the appetite for just a spark.
