[⌊Black and white headshot of Mamta Kalia⌉⌊Black and white headshot of Mamta Kalia⌉[ We congratulate
our author **Prof. Mamta Kalia** on her richly-deserved **Sahitya Akademi** award.
Fifty years ago, she published two books of poems with us: **_Tribute to Papa and
Other Poems_** and **_Poems ’78_**, that have become classics of Indian writing
in English. Her photo alongside comes from that time, printed in our authoritative
anthology, _**Modern Indian Poetry in English**_.
